Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software in C++ and Python for real-time robotics applications
Implement sensor fusion pipelines integrating cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and other onboard sensors
Work on motion planning, kinematics, dynamics, and control algorithms
Design, test, and optimize SLAM systems for robust localization and mapping in GPS-degraded environments
Develop camera-based perception and learning algorithms to improve obstacle detection and path planning
Integrate machine learning pipelines for object recognition and scene understanding
Ensure real-time performance and accuracy of perception modules
Collaborate with hardware, simulation, and controls teams to support system-level integration
Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation-based testing (e.g., Gazebo, CARLA, Unity3D)
Participate in field testing and debugging to validate system performance
Contribute to secure firmware update mechanisms and system hardening for deployment
Support documentation and compliance efforts for security-sensitive environments

Required

1โ€“3 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in C++ and Python
Experience with sensor fusion integration
Strong knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and control theory
Real-time systems development experience
Experience with ROS / ROS2 or equivalent robotics frameworks
Knowledge of path planning algorithms
Experience with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
Expertise in camera-based perception and learning (top priority)
U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain security clearance
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (Master's preferred)
Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for education

Preferred

Familiarity with simulation frameworks (Gazebo, CARLA, Unity3D)
Knowledge of secure firmware update mechanisms
Experience working in defense-related or security-sensitive environments
