IT Program Management Office Head

Vallourec - North America is seeking an IT Program Management Office Head to ensure that all projects align with the company’s standards and are completed on time and within budget. This role involves leading a team of PMO professionals, overseeing project delivery, and driving continuous improvement in project management processes.

Responsibilities

Establish and enforce project governance standards and methodologies
Keep Portfolio Management tools updates at all time (VCP, dashboards…) and prepare the portfolio reviews for every Group functions including the North America
Create and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio management framework
Oversee local IT budget & manage local contracts
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all projects within the organization
Monitor project performance, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards (participation to project steer co is a must / update of the project dashboard)
Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues promptly
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of local PMO
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence within the PMO
Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and templates
Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance project delivery and efficiency
Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies within the PMO
Develop and maintain project dashboards, providing transparent and accurate reporting on project status and performance metrics
Analyze project data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, IT, or a related field
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a PMO
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in project management software and tools
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement
Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment
Capable of navigating challenges with a proactive and positive attitude
Adaptable to changing business needs and environments
Highly structured and detail-oriented in managing tasks and projects
Willingness to take on new challenges and drive innovation

Preferred

Master's degree or relevant certification (PMP, PRINCE2)
