Mid, Senior LevelExcelcare at Wayne is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Director to lead engaging recreational and life-enrichment programs for our residents. In this role, you will design and oversee meaningful activities that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and quality of life while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and oversee engaging individual and group activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
Organize special events, outings, and celebrations based on resident interests and preferences
Assess resident needs and create individualized activity plans in collaboration with nursing, therapy, and social services teams
Supervise, train, and support activity aides and volunteers to ensure safe and meaningful programming
Maintain activity calendars, participation records, and required documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulations
Foster positive relationships with residents and families while managing activity supplies and budget
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Certification as an Activity Director (Required)
Previous experience working as an Activities Director or in a similar role in a long-term care or healthcare setting is Required
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with seniors
Ability to engage and motivate residents with diverse needs and backgrounds
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
