Responsibilities
Design (NX) mechanical aspects of complex new electronic controllers, including component placement, attachment and module packaging to meet or exceed customer specifications and requirements while ensuring manufacturability with internal and/or external capabilities
Design and develop mechanical layouts for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), including component placement constraints and mounting hardware
Consider design requirements for environment, operation conditions, reliability and durability in all aspects of the physical design
Determine technical objectives and develop innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems
Design for EMI/EMC shielding using gaskets, coatings, and specialized enclosure geometry to minimize electromagnetic interference
Qualification
Required
Experience in mechanical design (packaging, enclosures, etc.) for electronics
Experience in power electronics and controls electronics for aerospace applications
Design (NX) mechanical aspects of complex new electronic controllers, including component placement, attachment and module packaging
Design and develop mechanical layouts for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), including component placement constraints and mounting hardware
Consider design requirements for environment, operation conditions, reliability and durability in all aspects of the physical design

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
7-10+ years of experience
