Responsibilities
Assist in documenting plant requirements for automation and plant improvement projects
Support maintenance and engineering to help troubleshoot mechanical systems
Help prepare layout drawings and concepts for automation and mechanical projects
Assist in development and execution of machine reliability program
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with operations and maintenance staff
Perform simple data collection and analysis tasks as directed
Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing tasks under supervision
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on the shop floor in a Manufacturing facility with no heating or air conditioning. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a final year of a university program in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
Basic understanding of mechanical systems as it pertains to process equipment
Interest in automation and willingness to learn new technologies
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
This is an active role with a substantial amount of time spent on the shop floor, in an environment with no heating or air conditioning, requiring walking and standing at and around machinery
