Responsibilities

Serve as a senior organizational development and strategic performance advisor, independently assessing highly complex organizational, operational, and strategic issues with institution-wide impact
Oversee clinic flow optimization efforts to ensure teams are working at top of license, continuously improving patient experience, and promoting wellbeing for physicians and team members
Apply established project and program management standards to monitor progress, manage risk, and communicate outcomes, issues, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Lead and apply advanced analytical and diagnostic methodologies to evaluate organizational purpose, structure, relationships, systems, policies, and performance data in support of enterprise decision-making
Exercise broad discretion and judgment in selecting, developing, and applying organizational development, effectiveness, business process, and strategic planning approaches to resolve the most complex issues, including those with significant political or operational sensitivity
Provide expert consultation, facilitation, and advisory services to senior leaders, departments, and governance bodies to address root causes of organizational effectiveness challenges and advance strategic priorities
Identify, evaluate, and present system-level opportunities to improve quality of care, optimize utilization, enhance patient experience, and strengthen performance across the continuum of care
Provide oversight and strategic direction for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives, including the Ambulatory Care Strategic Growth Project, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and successful execution within approved scope, timeline, and budget
Partner across the health system to design and sustain organizational infrastructure, governance models, and operating frameworks that support institutional and medical group objectives
Lead and develop high-performing teams by setting priorities, allocating resources, managing operations and budgets, and providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management consistent with UC people-management expectations
Oversee workforce planning and talent management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, role design, and maintenance of accurate job descriptions and career pathways
Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in organizational development and effectiveness, contributing specialized expertise internally and, as appropriate, externally within the industry
Perform other duties as assigned in support of institutional priorities

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in related area; or equivalent combination of experience and training
Seven (7+) or more years of relevant experience in program management and/or project management
Experience and proven success in collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve results

Preferred

A Master's Degree in related area
Lean black belt certification or equivalent
Experience in healthcare organization, ideally in an ambulatory care setting
Experience managing complex expansion projects involving multiple stakeholders
