Responsibilities
Providing service and support to our Shipyard customers
Heavily involved in dynamic projects while aboard vessels
Assessing PAR products for engineering resolutions for installation, system repairs, problems, or configuration changes
Ensuring the safety of service members around the world
Managing technical, quality, and business aspects of a project
Installing new systems or making repairs
Discovering the root cause of a problem and implementing the best solution
Conducting on-site inspections, warranty service, and on-the-fly engineering problem solving
Coordinating personal, equipment and information essential to servicing the complex machinery
Conducting failure analysis and guiding local craftsmen on project needs
Reviewing work orders, staying on budget, and maintaining a schedule
Reviewing project engineering documentation, creating technical solutions as needed, and adhering to Federal OSHA, state, and local regulations
Reading and interpreting blueprints and other technical drawings
Developing a clear action plan for ensuring components fit together and function in harmony
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
5+ years' Shipyard Experience
Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, And Hydraulic Systems within the shipbuilding industry
Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work order specifications
Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Project
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Highly organized with effective time management skills
