Compensation Analyst
Vaco by Highspring is a growing financial services organization in New York City seeking a strategic and detail-oriented professional to join their private wealth advisory compensation team. This role plays a key part in managing incentive-based compensation programs for revenue-generating teams, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with broader financial goals.
Responsibilities
Support the full lifecycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation calculations for wealth advisors
Prepare detailed compensation statements and reporting packages
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payouts, providing clear explanations to stakeholders
Analyze compensation trends and contribute to forecasting and planning efforts
Post and reconcile compensation-related entries in financial systems
Partner with internal teams to implement and maintain compensation plans
Lead process improvement initiatives and support technology upgrades to enhance efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in accounting, reporting, or compensation operations
Strong understanding of commission-based compensation structures
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams
Preferred
Experience in financial services or asset management is a plus
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial systems (e.g., SAP) is helpful
