Responsibilities
Independently prepare drug product formulations (liquids/injectables) with varying compositions to support pre-clinical work packages
Execute experiments to develop and optimize processes for simple and complex dosage forms
Analyze materials using a variety of techniques to assess physicochemical properties, composition, and stability
Maintain rigorous lab documentation in electronic notebooks to ensure all results are verifiable and contemporaneous
Review experimental data, identify trends, and propose hypothesis-driven "next steps" in collaboration with the broader research team
Qualification
Required
Degree: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering
Experience Level: Ideally less than 8 years of total laboratory experience (including PhD and industry). We are looking for an early-to-mid-career professional who is eager to grow within this specific scope
Laboratory Independence: Demonstrated ability to weigh/measure components, pipette accurately, and operate common lab equipment without constant supervision
Analytical Toolkit: Hands-on experience with at least several of the following: Spectroscopy, Rheology, Chromatography, Light Scattering, and Physicochemical property measurement. (Training will be provided for specific gaps if the candidate has a strong foundational base)
Collaborative Mindset: A positive, flexible attitude is essential for our small, high-energy team
Adaptability: Ability to pivot between different projects and research programs as priorities shift
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for sharing data insights with the team
Preferred
At least 1 year of industry experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with fast-paced, regulated workflows
While nanoparticle experience is a plus, we are specifically looking for candidates with a broad range of experience outside of nanoparticles, as our primary focus covers a wide array of synthetic modalities
