Responsibilities

Candidate must have at least 5 years experience working with mainframes
Candidate must be well versed in using RACF
Candidate should be able to use the z/OS operating system to install, customize and maintain support of mainframe software and operational procedures used by development teams as well as installation and customization of program products
Implementation and configure z/Secure controls on client machines
Create z/Secure Alerts and configurations
Create and maintain compliance reporting through z/Secure
Provides system and security vulnerability detection using z/Secure
Responsible for remediating or forwarding any vulnerabilities found in reports to required personnel
Responsible for providing monthly and Quarterly Reports
Be able to run installation jobs and scripts
Be able conduct system-wide performance tuning
Recommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability
Knowledge of security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, NIST CSF, etc
Must have knowledge of the following: JCL, REXX, JES2, RACF, SMP/E, TCP/IP, ISPF
Assist customers in developing and maintaining a secure Cybersecurity Baseline that meets RMF for DOD IT and other certifications and specifications as required
Assist in the preparation of network infrastructure specifications or designs incorporating required information security features
Create and monitor RACF/ architecture based on IBM best practices
Work with the Security Operations Center and SIEM team to ensure proper system logging requirements are being met
Create/modify and track tickets within ServiceNow (SNOW)
Candidates must be able to pass Standard Government Background check

Required

Preferred

Preferred 8+ years experience working with IBM Mainframe
Knowledge in ACF2 and/or TSS
Professional experience working with networks and network architecture
Experience working with SIEM technologies
Experience working with and configuring IBM zSecure
Experience working with Vulnerability Scanning technologies
Experience working in a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP)
Experience working within Microsoft Azure or other enterprise cloud offerings
Experience with compliance frameworks and audit preparation/evidence gathering
Excellent time management, reporting, and communication skills
Experience briefing senior management and peers on ticket or work statuses
Superior IT problem-solving skills
Able to mentor and train incoming trainees from IBM's Apprenticeship program as well Mid and Jr. Level engineers within the team
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex problems to nontechnical teams
Shift flexibility, including the ability to provide after-hours support when needed
B.S degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field
Desired CISSP
Possess an IAT Level I or above certification
Desired Cloud Industry Certification
