Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for microservices and web applications
Implement and execute performance, load, and stress tests using automation tools to ensure system scalability and reliability
Test database interactions, data integrity in PostgreSQL or any relational database
Monitor, analyze, and validate application logs and metrics using Splunk to identify issues and verify test outcomes
Utilize defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center) to track, report, and manage bugs throughout the software development lifecycle
Develop and maintain test data management strategies to support complex onboarding scenarios and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
Experience in software quality testing of cloud-native applications
Hands-on experience with JMeter, Bruno, and other automation and performance testing tools
Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests (Spinnaker, Jenkins, GitLab)
Experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Ability to analyze logs and monitor applications using Splunk
Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
Experience with test data management and data validation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective test cases and automation scripts
