$21/hr - $25/hrdormakaba is seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern based in Lexington. This role is responsible for partnering in the development, testing, and maintenance of embedded firmware for products, offering hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Support testing and validation of firmware features and bug fixes
Help analyze and troubleshoot firmware issues in collaboration with senior engineers
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards
Work with cross-functional teams such as hardware, software, and engineering support
Learn and follow best practices for version control, testing, and firmware deployment
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with anticipated graduation date in December 2026 through Spring 2029 in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks (May-August 2026)
Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers
Experience with C and/or C++ programming
Understanding of basic electronics and digital logic
Preferred
Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers, or similar) is a plus
Exposure to communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, or CAN
