They are seeking a Lead Civil Estimator / Project Manager to lead the bid and estimating process for civil and sitework projects, transitioning into managing project execution once work is awarded.

Responsibilities
Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate and competitive civil estimates
Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Identify scope gaps, risk items, and constructability issues prior to bid
Participate in bid strategy and client communication as needed
Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout
Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials
Track costs, production, and job profitability
Manage change orders, progress billing, and contract requirements
Communicate with owners, inspectors, engineers, and field crews to keep projects moving
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a civil/sitework estimator with hands-on project involvement
Strong understanding of excavation, grading, underground utilities, and civil infrastructure work
Ability to transition from estimating into active project oversight
Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving company where roles overlap
Proficient with estimating and project management software (HCSS Heavy Bid)
Experience with grade control systems (Trimble experience a plus)
Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and field personnel
Commitment to safety, quality, and cost control
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience will be heavily considered
