Responsibilities
Analyzes and develops telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services
Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion
Analyzes the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported
Defines the problem and develops system requirements and network specifications
Closely coordinates with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services
In conjunction with functional users, develops alternative solutions and backup plans
Qualification
Required
Clearance: Secret with IT-1 Sensitivity
Must have five years telecommunications systems experience with at least three years of local or wide area network experience
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or higher (one of the following): CCNA-Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH
Must have an active CCNA or CCNP certification
Preferred
Network proxy and load balancing: F5 BigIP Proxy/Traffic Management appliances
Network Authentication and Visibility: Pulse Secure IC Series Unified Access Control Appliance, Great Bay Beacon Server, Cisco ACS
IPAM: InfoBlox Grid Manager
Remote Access VPN: Pulse Secure, Palo Alto, Ivanti SSL VPN Appliance
Network Sniffers: NetScout, InfiniStream . NGeniusOne
