This role is responsible for fund-level underwriting, transaction-level deal analysis, and mergers and acquisitions underwriting in support of QC Capital’s portfolio companies and growth strategy.

Responsibilities
Lead fund-level underwriting, including portfolio construction analysis, capital deployment pacing, return optimization, and risk assessment
Perform detailed deal-level underwriting for acquisitions, recapitalizations, and growth investments across portfolio companies
Conduct M&A underwriting, including platform acquisitions, tuck-in acquisitions, roll-up strategies, and consolidation transactions
Evaluate investment opportunities against fund mandates, return thresholds, and risk-adjusted performance metrics
Build and maintain complex financial models, including IRR, MOIC, sensitivity, and scenario analyses
Assess portfolio-level impacts such as diversification, concentration risk, leverage, and exit considerations
Prepare and present comprehensive underwriting materials for Investment Committee review
Partner with portfolio company leadership teams to support acquisition strategy, valuation, and execution
Support transaction structuring, negotiations, and closing processes
Oversee financial, market, legal, and operational due diligence efforts
Monitor market trends, valuation benchmarks, and capital market dynamics to inform underwriting assumptions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related discipline (MBA, CFA, or similar credentials preferred)
8–12+ years of experience in private equity, investment management, institutional real estate, or M&A-focused roles
Demonstrated experience in fund underwriting, deal underwriting, and M&A underwriting
Strong understanding of fund structures, return waterfalls, leverage dynamics, and exit strategies
Advanced financial modeling expertise, including portfolio-level and transaction-level analysis
Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously
High level of analytical rigor, attention to detail, and sound investment judgment
Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely
