Field Service Technician-NY
Business Knowledge Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide ongoing support for corporate hardware, software, and IT infrastructure. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance, and collaborating with internal teams to address complex problems.
Responsibilities
Must be available to travel to different locations
Strong technical knowledge of IT hardware, mobile phones, operating systems, and software applications
Provide on-site technical support for IT and mobile phone products, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
Collaborate with the internal technical support and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues
Maintain and manage inventory of spare parts and equipment
Act as the technical lead for handling infrastructure related outages
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal, written, analytical, problem solving and formal presentation skills

3-5 years of proven experience working in various areas of IT such as software installation, hardware troubleshooting, network connectivity, and system maintenance
Prior Field Service Technician experience or similar role in IT a big plus
Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems
Diligent attention to detail is essential
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
Preferred
CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred
Experience with Cisco vManage, DNAC and ISE preferred
