Project Control Specialist

Responsibilities

Assist with project set‑up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software
Pull reports, review logs, and help analyze project data using internal tools
Support the development and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Help prepare basic scheduling reports, cost updates, cash flow summaries, and forecasts under the guidance of senior staff
Follow established project execution plans and project controls procedures
Assist with planning and scheduling activities related to engineering, procurement, and construction
Serve as a first point of contact for routine technical questions and escalate more complex issues to senior team members
Enter and update cost information, including changes to forecasts and cost reports
Coordinate with the Project Management and Accounting teams to review cost information and support audit requests
Help review purchase orders, subcontract change orders, and project documentation for completeness and correct coding
Prepare and update project cash flow reports with direction from senior staff
Support the creation and maintenance of project schedules, including logic ties and resource loading updates
Assist in generating schedule reports and selecting appropriate reporting formats
Review pre-programmed scheduling reports and supporting documentation to verify accuracy
Participate in project planning meetings and assist in documenting schedule progress
Perform basic schedule analysis, including identifying variances and supporting what‑if scenarios as needed
Contribute to maintaining an earned value management system (EVMS) by tracking progress and updating measurement tools
Help develop progress curves and perform simple material quantity takeoffs
Assist with quality checks on project control deliverables
Conduct field audits to confirm accuracy of reported data
Perform other duties as assigned
