MVCTC is seeking an Architectural Design/Engineering Instructor to provide instructional activities aligned with the architectural design/engineering curriculum. The instructor will guide students in skill development, human relations, and leadership qualities necessary for employment or further education in the field.

Provide instructional activities consistent with the objectives of the architectural design/engineering curriculum and MVCTC

Direct the learning experiences of the students, including skill development, human relations, and leadership qualities

Guide the SkillsUSA program as an integral part of the curriculum

Required

Must hold or qualify for a provisional Career-Technical Workforce Development (CTWD) license or five-year CTWD professional license eligible to teach the courses in the architectural design/engineering program

Must be technologically literate

Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite and be able to learn new software packages

Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and tools of the architectural design/engineering program

Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned

Ability to move about the classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior/learning

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and peers

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students

Ability to make home and work site visits to monitor the student or confer with employers as required

The ability to work closely with team members possessing a variety of backgrounds

Preferred

Current work in the field of architectural design/engineering preferred
