Responsibilities
Develop high-level conceptual site plans for potential new development projects and design concepts for the renovation of existing assets
Develop and maintain master leasing plans across the portfolio and create Lease Outline Drawings (LODs) for prospective tenant spaces
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party design/construction consultants throughout the design, permitting, and construction phases
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, construction quality, and strict adherence to design intent
Proactively address design-related issues during construction and provide effective, cost-efficient solutions
Maintain and update firm-wide design standards, architectural guidelines, and material specifications
Work directly with national retail brands to ensure space delivery meets corporate brand and compliance standards
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional architectural experience with a strong portfolio specifically in commercial retail design
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite
Strong working knowledge of commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and retail compliance standards
Excellent project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal executives and external contractors
Ability to travel in-state as needed for site visits and project meetings
US Citizen or Green Card holder (No H1B or visa sponsorship available)
Preferred
Licensed Architect (RA) in the State of Texas
Experience working on the Developer/Owner side of the real estate industry
Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp for 3D conceptual modeling
Proven track record of managing tenant coordination for national retail brands
Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects across a diverse portfolio
