Responsibilities
Lead and execute processes throughout the vendor lifecycle, including contract development, negotiation, execution, and post‑signature management
Partner with business leaders to identify vendor management opportunities that balance risk and maximize supplier value
Manage strategic sourcing initiatives within the Professional Services and technology spend categories
Execute RFx activities and negotiate key technology agreements (EULAs, SaaS, Cloud computing, etc.)
Direct the evaluation, selection, transition, and monitoring of contractual agreements
Support vendor risk management activities in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, Audit, and other stakeholders
Measure and oversee vendor performance, including developing performance improvement or contingency plans as needed
Develop negotiation strategies using cost/benefit analyses, should‑cost modeling, and market research; lead cross‑functional negotiation efforts
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, external vendors, and cross‑functional teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, MIS, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, and vendor management
Proven ability to develop strategic solutions for complex procurement challenges
Strong relationship‑building skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem‑solving capabilities
Preferred
Experience in technology procurement (Software, SaaS, Cloud computing, etc.) strongly preferred
Must reside within the greater Milwaukee metro area (preferred due to hybrid requirement)
