Traffic Engineer
SeeKing HR is seeking a Traffic Engineer to lead the analysis, design, and delivery of traffic engineering solutions that positively impact the community. The role involves conducting traffic studies, preparing plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical guidance to junior staff while managing project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities
Conducting traffic impact studies, operational analyses, and safety evaluations
Preparing and reviewing traffic signal, signing, and pavement marking plans
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
Coordinating with public agencies and stakeholders
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
Managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Providing professional engineering oversight and applying an engineering seal where required
Developing innovative technical solutions
Fostering close client and staff relationships
Providing creative approaches to project development
Maintaining personal dedication to serving client needs
Mentoring junior engineers
Preparing design plans including, but not limited to: Traffic Signals, Roadway Lighting, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), and Signing and Pavement Marking
Performing other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Engineering required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Knowledge of FHWA Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Florida Design Manual (FDM) and FDOT Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated proficiency in MicroStation
