Information Technology Specialist (System Administration)
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Full-Time Information Technology Specialist (System Administration) to provide System Engineering services and maintain lab facilities for the E-3 and E-7 Programs. The role includes supporting mission computing, navigation, and radar missions, as well as managing workload needs and providing program management expertise.

Responsibilities
Provide System Engineering services along with control and maintenance of lab facilities used for sustainment of the E-3 and E-7 Programs
Support of the Mission Computing, ESM, Ground Support, Navigation, and Radar missions
Support requests for analysis of hardware solutions applicable to the E-3 AWACS as requested by the SPO
Support for Squadron related missions include market analyses to identify sources of equipment and hardware in support of the sustainment mission, along with management of workload needs as they relate to facility space and physical plant needs
Provides Program management expertise and services to the Squadron and its projects to ensure successful planning, execution, tracking and reporting
Provides response capabilities to surge and special project tasks directed by the customers
Provides expertise in evaluating, scoping and planning for new workload targeted for 558 SWES
Provides information systems support for development environments, networks, cyber security, and service requests from the field

Obtain & maintain the appropriate Security clearance
This is a designated Drug Testing Position
DAWIA Certification
The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
Must be able to obtain and maintain Cyberspace qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance
Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system
Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions
Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers
Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems, provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers, and maintain liaison with industry and other activities to provide awareness of state-of-the-art technology
