CAD/CAM Programmer - All Shifts Available

SendCutSend is an industry-leading on-demand manufacturing company specializing in CNC machining. The CAD/CAM Programmer will contribute to the development and optimization of CNC machining programs, focusing on programming with Autodesk Fusion and enhancing machining efficiency through various strategies.

Responsibilities

Use software like Autodesk Fusion, CAMplete, and others to perform DFM checks and optimize customer designs for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing
Review customer models to plan machining strategy, including tool selection, feed speeds and operation sequencing
Create, refine, and validate CAM programs for 3+2 and 5-axis machining using simulation and test runs to ensure accuracy and print compliance
Develop effective tabbing and fixturing strategies to secure parts during machining
Monitor orders through production, troubleshoot machining or program issues, and ensure finished parts meet SendCutSend quality standards
Work closely with our design and manufacturing teams to improve workflows, share feedback, and continuously evolve our processes

Required

Understanding of DFM principles and their application in CNC machining
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of CNC programming, tool selection, feeds, and speeds
Comfortable troubleshooting machining and program issues independently
Able and willing to work with your hands in a mechanical way
Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts
Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment

Preferred

Experience with CNC milling, both 3 axis, 3+2, 5-axis machining
Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion and AI-assisted CAM tools
Experience validating and testing CAM programs through simulation or trial runs
Familiarity with G code, M code, or other numeric control languages
Ability to modify programs to improve efficiency and adapt to design changes
Experience collaborating with design or manufacturing teams to optimize production workflows
