Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining database infrastructure following DevOps principles
Automating database deployment, scaling, and management processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
Implementing monitoring and alerting systems to guarantee database performance and availability
Collaborating with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues promptly
Ensuring all database systems adhere to security and compliance standards
Managing backup, recovery, and data archival processes diligently
Supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing
Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code using sound software design principles
Providing troubleshooting support and analysis for complex problems
Responding to customer inquiries
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with at least 9 years of prior programming experience or a Graduate Degree with 7 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 13 years of programming experience without a degree will also be considered
Proven expertise in Linux administration and shell scripting
Proficiency in Python and PowerShell
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Groovy, YAML, and JSON
Demonstrated experience with GitLab management
Strong understanding of database management systems like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and storage management within Linux environments
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Must be a US citizen
Preferred
Certifications in cloud platforms or database management
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet
