Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain extensible software solutions interfacing with enterprise databases and core healthcare systems, including QNXT™ and QXI, specifically supporting Member, Provider Claims and Utilization Management (UM) modules
Develop and enhance applications, system integrations, automation tools, and interim technical solutions supporting claims processing and utilization management workflows
Support data exchanges with external trading partners (vendors, providers, healthcare regulators) using FTP, compression, encryption, and X12 EDI transactions (837 I/P)
Develop and support business intelligence solutions including enterprise dashboards, reports, automation solutions, and ad-hoc data extracts
Participate in business requirements meetings to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements related to claims and UM processes
Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, and technical architects to ensure solutions are accurate, scalable, and aligned with healthcare regulatory requirements
Design and develop web-based applications based on user design specifications, user stories, and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
Ensure adherence to industry best practices for secure, reliable, and maintainable software development
Implement and support DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated testing, and automated deployments
Develop testing strategies and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, including prioritization of test scenarios for claims and UM functionality
Manage code deployments and prepare deployment guides for promotion across Development, QA, Training, and Production environments
Conduct peer code reviews and represent technical solutions during project and architecture review meetings
Troubleshoot application and system issues, coordinating with appropriate teams to minimize operational impact on claims processing and UM operations
Qualification
Required
BE., B.Tech., MCA
9-11 years of experience in software development and integration within healthcare technology
Experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions interfacing with enterprise databases and core healthcare systems
Experience with claims processing and utilization management workflows
Experience with data exchanges using FTP, compression, encryption, and X12 EDI transactions (837 I/P)
Experience developing business intelligence solutions including enterprise dashboards, reports, and automation solutions
Ability to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements
Experience collaborating with stakeholders and technical architects
Experience designing and developing web-based applications
Knowledge of industry best practices for secure, reliable, and maintainable software development
Experience implementing and supporting DevOps practices
Experience developing testing strategies and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans
Experience managing code deployments and preparing deployment guides
Experience conducting peer code reviews
Ability to troubleshoot application and system issues
Preferred
Experience supporting healthcare claims processing and utilization management systems
Strong hands-on experience with QNXT™ (Member, Claims and UM modules) and QXI
Solid understanding of healthcare EDI transactions and payer regulatory requirements
Proven experience working in agile, DevOps-oriented, cross-functional teams
