Peer Support Specialist / Administrative Assistant

They are seeking a compassionate and organized Peer Support Specialist / Administrative Assistant to support their Franklin Outpatient Program, blending peer-based recovery support with administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Manage front office operations and maintain a welcoming, professional environment
Schedule client appointments and manage intake paperwork
Answer phones and perform clerical duties (filing, copying, faxing, mailing)
Maintain accurate medical records and administrative logs
Assist with intake processes, billing sheets, census, and discharge tracking
Order and manage office and client supplies
Coordinate office equipment service and vendors
Attend staff meetings and record meeting minutes
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and CARF standards
Provide peer-based support using lived recovery experience
Assist clients in building long-term recovery and community supports
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team
Maintain contact with referral sources as directed
Document all client interactions accurately and timely
Provide transportation to community resources as needed
Participate in emergency services rotation, including crisis support

Required

NC Peer Support Specialist Certification required
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license and ability to transport clients, as needed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organization, multitasking, and time-management abilities
Professional, empathetic, and client-centered approach
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
Proficiency with computers, phones, and office technology

Preferred

Associate's degree in Human Services or related field preferred
Administrative or front-office experience preferred
