The City of Cody is seeking applicants for a Journey Electric Lineman. This position is responsible for participating in the construction, repair, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, including troubleshooting and repairing power lines and equipment.

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing energized overhead and underground power lines and equipment
Installs overhead and underground power lines
Ensures compliance with safety codes and regulations
Responds to emergencies, including after-hours emergencies; instructs work crews in troubleshooting and repair procedures

Required

High school diploma or GED
Knowledge and a level of competency commonly associated with specialized training in the field
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position

One to two years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
