Responsibilities
Assist with summer camps, sports programs, athletic field prep, arts programs, special events, and facility operations at the City's premier community parks and facilities
Qualification
Required
Must be 16 years old by June 1
Currently a high school student
Availability to work an average of 15-20 hours per week during weekdays and weekends, 7 a.m.-10 p.m
Ability to assist with summer camps, sports programs, athletic field prep, arts programs, special events, and facility operations
Willingness to undergo a background check
Willingness to undergo a medical examination, including a drug/alcohol screening and proof of a negative TB test
Preferred
Priority will be given to applicants who meet at least two of the following: Are unemployed and/or out of school during program period, Are low-income, May have difficulty finding employment, Are first generation students planning to go to college, Are in or transitioning from foster care, Are or were engaged with a mental health or substance abuse system, Are or were justice-involved, Are experiencing or have experienced housing instability, Have not participated in an AmeriCorps program
