Gains experience operating survey measuring devices & instruments
Obtains survey data & calculates precise measurements for elevations, horizontal & vertical lines, cross sections, curve angles
Becomes familiar with CADD systems and various software packages used in the collection of survey data & the preparation of highway plans
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a college or university related to Surveying & Mapping or Civil Engineering
In good academic standing with a minimum of a 2.00 GPA
Proof of valid driver's license in order to operate state vehicle
Undergo a criminal background check
Preferred
Pursuing a degree in Surveying & Mapping
Good academic standing
