Responsibilities

Qualification

Required

Successful completion of nine (9) semester hours of college-level coursework in computer languages or system analysis
Three months of actual computer programming experience
One year of work experience using a computer for analysis, including experience in the use of computer reporting languages, spreadsheets, or statistical packages
One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language for Analyst/Programmer II
Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language for Analyst/Programmer III
Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language for Analyst/Programmer IV
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for all of the required experience
An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience
At the time of the interview, please provide three (3) professional references, whom we may contact by phone, are required. One (1) of these references must be your current or most recent supervisor, if not already provided in the application
Current performance evaluation, if available
A copy of academic transcripts (unofficial is okay; please ensure that the institution name/URL is listed on the transcripts) is used to verify that you meet the minimum qualifications
Any professional certificates related to computer programming you may have

Preferred

Knowledge of procedures to ensure production or delivery of products and services, including tools and mechanisms for distributing new or enhanced software
Uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one's knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary
Knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions
Knowledge of the principles and methods for planning or managing the implementation, update, or integration of information systems component
Knowledge of computer network, desktop, and mainframe operating systems and their applications
