The Brixton Group is seeking a Juniper Data Center Router & Switching Engineer to manage, configure, and support Juniper routing and switching infrastructure within a data center environment. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of the network, particularly in core, aggregation, and access layer routing and switching.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Juniper routers and switches in a data center environment
Administer and optimize routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS
Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and capacity planning to support network growth
Monitor network health, performance, and redundancy features (HA, ECMP, LAG, VRRP, etc.)
Troubleshoot complex routing and switching incidents across core and data center networks
Develop and support network automation using Python, PyEZ, Ansible, or similar tools
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and application teams to integrate network solutions
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards
Work with vendors as needed to support continuous improvement and operational reliability

Required

Strong hands-on experience with Juniper routers and switches
Deep understanding of data center routing and switching architectures
Experience with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS in production environments
Familiarity with redundancy, high availability, and performance optimization

Preferred

Network automation experience (Python, Ansible, PyEZ)
Experience supporting large-scale or enterprise data center networks
