Responsibilities
Assist FRS Division directors, assistant directors, managers, and staff with their committee support duties including, but not limited to, tasks related to the actions of the Accounting Practices and Procedures (E) Task Force, Statutory Accounting Principles (E) Working Group, Blanks (E) Working Group, Mutual Recognition of Jurisdictions (E) Working Group, Reciprocal Exchanges (E) Working Group, Restructuring Mechanisms (E) Working Group, Invested Assets (E) Task Force, and Reinsurance (E) Task Force
Assist FRS Division directors, assistant directors, managers, and staff with the preparation of meeting materials and follow-up responsibilities to ensure that all national meeting deadlines are met
Manage the production of meeting minutes for the statutory accounting, blanks, and reinsurance groups including three annual NAIC national meetings and interim meetings. Assist with the quality control of meeting minutes, which includes collaboration with committee support staff to make necessary edits to meeting minutes and attachments prior to submitting to the Executive Division for review and inclusion in the published Proceedings of the NAIC
Perform updates to FRS Division publications including, but not limited to, the Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual (a printed and digital version), the States' Prescribed Differences from NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles, the annual and quarterly statement blanks and instructions for six different lines of businesses, and the risk-based capital forecasting and instructions for three different lines of businesses
Revise publication content as directed following interim and national meetings, adhering to strict publication deadlines, and identify and correct typographical and grammatical errors using the NAIC House Style Guide as a reference
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent, and four to six years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
Highly dependable, proactive, and a self-starter
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to professionally and effectively engage with diverse personalities at all organizational levels, both inside and outside the Association, while consistently demonstrating a positive attitude
Exceptional skills in project management, organization, proofreading, and written and oral communication
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft applications, specifically SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel, and possess the ability to adapt to other publication tools
Experience with online virtual meeting tools, i.e. Webex
