Practice Manager

Loeb & Loeb LLP is a law firm seeking a Practice Manager who will act as a strategic partner to Department Chairs and Deputy Chairs. The role involves overseeing daily operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment across key business functions.

Responsibilities

Support key Firm and Department initiatives, such as leverage, productivity, and succession planning
Set and drive strategic goals for assigned Departments and facilitate execution plans
Analyze financial, productivity, and utilization data to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making
Manage attorney staffing, onboarding, and development in collaboration with the Legal Talent Management team
Drive practice performance by leading work assignment allocation, translating client expectations into clear quality standards, and delivering high-caliber client service
Collaborate with Firm and Department leadership on annual budgets, forecasts, targets and manage performance against goals
Support and participate in the selection, recruitment, and integration of partners, associates, and other professionals in assigned Departments
Oversee the collection, organization, management, and sharing of legal work product and knowledge management to facilitate innovation and use of AI resources
Review and approve Department-related expense requests in alignment with Firm policies and budgetary guidelines
Participate in client/matter intake process to ensure new matters are properly vetted, assessed for strategic fit, and coded for tracking purposes
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Administrative Departments to improve processes, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence

Required

Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years of experience in a practice management role within an Am Law 200 law firm
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization
Ability to analyze and present data, drawing accurate conclusions and making appropriate recommendations as needed
Motivation to learn and ability to adapt to change
