Responsibilities

Develops training programs to ensure that quality provisions are planned, developed, and implemented to identify, prevent, and correct unsatisfactory scheduling activities
Incumbent prepares operating level policies, standard operating procedures, and reports on staff development issues
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, management, and evaluation of applications to improve safety and care for Veterans
Develops, tracks, and disseminates outcome measures to include clinical data and patient satisfaction measures
Incumbent will prepare reports and presentations on monitoring and auditing results for the Chief and Assistant Chief of Medical Administration Service
Develops monitors for each of the MAS special programs to provide objective evidence of the effectiveness of procedures and controls
Investigates and analyzes adverse quality trends or conditions and initiates corrective actions
Assists technical managers and staff in developing process solutions and mechanisms to relate these concepts to front end users and staff
Maintains a current inventory of VetLink and ICB technology including hardware, software, and associated licenses
Ensures that VetLink and ICB programs have a facility wide emergency and disaster contingency plan developed and in place, which incorporates national and local standards
Performs audits of processes to ensure compliance with directives, prepares reports of findings, and prepares training that addresses deficient areas
Incumbent will assist the Medical Admin Specialist (ADPAC), Management Analysts, MAS Section Chiefs, and MAS Supervisors and Leads

Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond one full year of graduate education
