The role involves developing design drawings and construction documents for residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and collaborating with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

Develop design drawings, construction documents, and specifications for residential and commercial projects
Conduct as-built surveys and translate field conditions into accurate Revit models and drawings
Apply knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance
Work independently to manage design tasks, requiring minimal guidance from the architect
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to bring design concepts to completion
Support construction partners with material takeoffs, estimating, and coordination tasks as needed
Contribute to efficient workflows to handle 'smaller' projects that the firm often must decline due to capacity

Required

Proficiency in Revit (required)
Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction standards
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related field
5+ years of professional design experience in an architecture or design firm
Experience in construction, estimating, or material takeoffs
