Responsibilities
Design the enterprise data warehouse architecture using SQL Server
Build dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) for clinical, financial, and operational data
Create data marts optimized for Power BI reporting
Establish data standards, documentation, and governance practices
Define requirements and specifications for integrations from eClinicalWorks, Azara DRVS, Sage Intacct, Pioneer RX, Ring Central and others
Provide technical direction to contract data engineers building integrations
Review contractor deliverables for quality and alignment with your architecture
Maintain and optimize ETL pipelines after contractor handoff
Manage database performance, security, and HIPAA compliance
Implement monitoring and data quality processes
Partner with our Power BI Developer to deliver analytics-ready datasets
Qualification
Required
4+ years in data warehousing, ETL development, or data engineering
Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
Experience with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
Experience with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, dbt, or equivalent)
Solid communication skills—you'll direct contractors and work with non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Healthcare industry experience (EHR systems, claims data, quality measures)
Experience working with or coordinating contractors/vendors
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance for data handling
Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms
