Responsibilities

Updating Caltrain’s strategic financial plan and developing pathways for new, dedicated long-term revenue sources
Supporting agency operations and capital programs through proactive grant development, funding strategy, and effective funding management
Conducting ongoing reviews of professional services and support contracts to identify cost-saving and cost-containment opportunities
Providing exposure to Caltrain Marketing efforts around ridership growth, finance and cost-efficiencies, board reporting and capital monthly reporting

Required

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university as an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate
Must be able to work onsite in San Carlos for the duration of the program (June – August), not to exceed 40 hours/week or 320 cumulative hours
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Effective research, data analysis, and analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred

Familiarity with other computer programs preferred (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva etc.)
