Fabrication Supervisor
Unarco Material Handling is a company focused on steel fabrication processes. The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations in the fabrication department, ensuring timely production, quality control, and providing mentorship to associates.

Responsibilities
Responsible for scheduling of work for fabrication department, to include ordering of materials from approved vendors
Accurately calculate and order sheet and coil steel needed for upcoming orders
Responsible for review of blueprints prior to placing material order(s) and/or scheduling of production of client order(s)
Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication department associates to ensure accurate and timely fabrication of product
Provide mentorship to include coaching, progressive discipline, skill cross-training and development to associates
Define, document and train employees on departmental processes, procedures and/or tasks to ensure safety, production, quality and housekeeping standards/goals are consistently met
Treat all co-workers with respect, keep commitments, work with integrity
Working knowledge of all fabrication processes and equipment to include troubleshooting issues – equipment, process, safety, quality
Report all process and equipment problems to Plant Manager
Ensure all established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed
Completes all required paperwork and reports accurately and on time
Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime and weekends, as required

Qualification
Required
Highschool diploma or GED equivalent, required
5 years' experience in manufacturing leadership role
Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, coaching, counseling, training and general leadership skills
Accurately read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Strong experience utilizing standard tape measure, micrometers & caliper
Must have strong basic & advanced mathematics skills, including geometry & accurate decimal/fraction conversion for tolerance management; knowledge and experience with manually calculating flat length and bend calculations
Advanced knowledge of steel fabrication processes: punching, forming & shearing (such as Cincinnati, LVD, Bliss & Steelweld)
Thorough knowledge and experience of punching and forming press machine die setup's – offline and in-press, required
Able to understand written and verbal directives and complex manufacturing processes
Computer literacy to include MS Outlook, Word, Excel
