Windows Systems Administrator

Responsibilities
Providing expert support and technical assistance to users, primarily focusing on Windows 11 computers
Answering questions related to installation, operation, configuration, and customization of assigned products
Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, applying advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve problems
Supporting hardware such as Intel Core-based PCs, projectors, printers, scanners, and CAC readers, as well as supporting software including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and specialized engineering tools
Overseeing the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, patch management, and resolution of software-related issues, including addressing Information Assurance Vulnerabilities
Utilizing the ServiceNow platform to track incident tickets and change requests, ensuring timely responses and resolution of support requests
Maintaining and developing IT procedures, assisting with system security accreditation in collaboration with the ISSO, and providing recommendations for future IT needs
Monitoring system configurations, maintaining data integrity, and assisting in preparing monthly progress and status reports to ensure continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in systems administration or related fields
High school diploma
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and assist others effectively
Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments
Current Microsoft-supported Windows operating systems experience
Experience with hardware components such as PCs, printers, scanners, and CAC readers
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Certification in DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II (such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
US citizenship
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Familiarity with Linux operating systems
Familiarity with DOD networking, security accreditation processes, Windows Active Directory, STIGs, and RMF
