Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying network infrastructure across various AWS services and collaborating with automation teams to enhance network scalability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality
Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards
Work closely with our internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production

Qualification

IP networking fundamentalsBGPOSPFNetwork operating systemsLinux/Unix environmentScripting with PythonNetwork analysis fundamentalsNetwork hardware knowledgeProblem solving abilities

Required

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications or related fields
Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols
Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting
Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos
Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell

Preferred

Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures
Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies
Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
