Business Planner – HR, Global Product Engineering

Responsibilities
Partner with the Executive Director and HR leadership team to define priorities, develop annual and long-range workforce strategies, and ensure alignment with Global Product Engineering objectives
Track progress on key HR initiatives and provide insights and recommendations to drive impact
Track and report organizational OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to ensure alignment and accountability across the team
Shape organizational focus and execution at the intersection of HR strategy, engineering talent needs, and business objectives
Manage the Executive Director’s operating rhythm, including staff meetings, leadership offsites, and business reviews
Orchestrate agendas, decision flows, and follow-ups to keep HR Executives and teams informed and focused on outcomes
Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership reviews and internal forums
Craft clear, compelling narratives that distill complex HR and workforce issues for senior audiences
Support internal communications and culture-building initiatives across GPSE HR teams
Drive cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across HR, Engineering, HR COE’s and Finance
Monitor GPSE HR team progress of key programs (e.g., employee engagement, leadership development, workforce analytics), escalate risks, and remove roadblocks to ensure timely delivery
Lead or support high-priority HR initiatives and tackle ambiguous challenges with directional insight
Build relationships across the business to enable agile communication and influence outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
5–7+ years of experience in HR, business planning, operations, or project management—preferably in a global engineering or technical environment
Ability to be courageous—willing to challenge assumptions, speak up with confidence, and advocate for the right outcomes even in complex situations
Demonstrated executive judgment and ability to make crisp, timely decisions
Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, and visual media
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
High integrity and comfort with confidential content
Ability to lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with advanced productivity platforms, including AI-enabled collaboration tools and HR analytics software
Preferred
Experience supporting HR functions for large-scale engineering or technical organizations
Familiarity with HR rhythm of the business
