Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist, Network Systems Engineering will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of physical and logical network architectures that incorporate voice, video, and data capabilities across multiple security domains
The role includes maintaining and troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) circuits
The candidate will translate customer requirements into system-level specifications, perform requirement traceability, and assist in conducting systems engineering trade studies to evaluate solutions' accuracy and effectiveness
Writing subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements, evaluating design diagrams, and ensuring traceability to system requirements are key tasks
The role also involves developing and executing network testing procedures to verify system performance, preparing technical presentations for non-technical stakeholders, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive network design and integration
Additionally, the candidate will evaluate alternative solutions, support certification and accreditation processes, and troubleshoot hardware and software components to ensure operational readiness

Required

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
A Bachelor's Degree with at least four years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with two years of experience, or a minimum of eight years of related experience without a degree
Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent experience
Intermediate knowledge of network design, including LAN/WAN architectures, security best practices, IP addressing, routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), VLANs, VPNs, and telecommunication systems such as VoIP and video conferencing
Strong communication skills
Experience in system testing
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Top Secret security clearance
Experience with Kubernetes
SATCOM protocols
HAIPE devices
RedHat Linux
Familiarity with government and military systems
