Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Preparing and presenting technical results during internal and external program meetings
Documenting design verification tests across lab, ground, and flight test environments
Developing technical metrics to track progress
Evaluating requirements, conducting flow-down and traceability analyses, and analyzing data from verification efforts to ensure system integrity
Managing schedules for engineering activities, maintaining risk assessments, and developing mitigation strategies
Supporting training and onboarding of new team members
Overseeing engineering teams during off-site integrations at various facilities
Managing large, complex projects with minimal oversight
Communicating effectively across organizational boundaries and influencing process improvements
Creating system drawings, schematics, and signal interfaces, especially for airborne systems
Working with subcontractors and government customers to ensure compliance and successful system deployment
Supporting efforts related to FAA certification, system security, and government security processes, including A&A and system authorization to operate on classified networks

Required

Bachelor's degree with at least nine years of experience leading systems integration projects in airborne or laboratory environments
Graduate degree with seven years of relevant experience or 13 years of equivalent industry experience without a degree
Active Secret DoD clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI
Security+ certification
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Teamcenter, and DOORS
Ability to lead teams through complex integration efforts
Willingness to travel up to 20%
Willingness to work on-call or shift hours

Preferred

Experience working with FAA-certified aircraft (preferably 747, 757, or 737)
Knowledge of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
Knowledge of DODAF
Experience working with government and military programs
