Undergrad Intern Engineering (40866)

They are seeking an Engineering Undergrad Intern to support the Engineering and Projects organization, contributing to sitewide operations and project support while gaining valuable experience in the field.

Responsibilities
Development of technical information through drawing and document research
Updating databases and engineering configuration management information, field walkdowns, interfacing with personnel both inside and outside of Engineering, and assisting engineers with various general support requests
Specific project scope will be identified in interviews
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a B.S. degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, or other relevant engineering discipline and demonstrate an interest in learning about engineering technology, processes, and real-world applications of course work
Must have one college term completed at an accredited college or university, must be enrolled as a full time student, and live within a commutable distance from the Richland work location
Must have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or above
Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks
Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge
Preferred
AutoCAD experience is desired but not required for consideration
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
High level of integrity and professionalism
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated leadership or initiative in academic or extracurricular activities
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks/projects
Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, professional environment
