System Analyst

The Information Services Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating efforts within information services, ensuring effective support and optimization of healthcare applications, particularly Epic systems.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate efforts within the designated focus area, ensuring consistency and quality across related IS teams
Act as the primary liaison during application implementation, including build, configuration, testing, go-live support, and optimization phases
Provide oversight for incident, problem, request, and change management processes to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption
Serve as an escalation point for support issues, guiding teams toward effective solutions and process improvements
Demonstrate expert-level understanding of clinical and business applications, applying this knowledge to meet organizational goals
Influence operational and clinical project outcomes through strategic planning and execution
Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation
Coordinate process and requirement analysis, including process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and documentation of project requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and client administrators to facilitate collaboration and project success
Identify potential conflicts or roadblocks early and work with leadership to resolve issues proactively
Manage workload distribution to ensure deliverables meet organizational and customer expectations
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, workflows, and project reports
Stay current with Epic system updates, Nova release notes, and other relevant documentation to leverage new features and functionalities
Design, analyze, and configure healthcare applications independently, providing guidance and training to team members
Collaborate with application development and compliance teams to ensure system processes align with organizational policies
Act as a customer liaison, understanding end-user needs and communicating project timelines and requirements effectively
Lead focus area workgroups, facilitate cross-team communication, and coordinate application-related activities
Develop internal and external communications, including project strategies and updates for executive leadership
Manage large or sensitive projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful completion
Work collaboratively with team members, assigning tasks, providing oversight, and supporting professional development
Maintain expertise in healthcare systems, including Epic modules, and pursue ongoing professional growth
Lead and coordinate high-impact vendor changes and system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption
Travel as required to support project activities or system implementations, and work additional hours during critical periods
Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives and operational excellence

Required

Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, with a focus in healthcare, business, or information systems
5-7 years of experience supporting healthcare, business, or information systems, with supervisory experience preferred
Minimum of 2+ years project management experience or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships
Ability to present complex data clearly using charts, graphs, and reports
Ability to work independently, lead projects, and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred

Experience in healthcare IT systems, particularly Epic modules, preferred
Relevant certifications in Epic or other healthcare IT systems are advantageous
Licenses, registrations, or certifications related to healthcare IT are preferred
