Assistant to General Manager

Responsibilities

Direct daily supervision of Front of House employees, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational flow is consistently maintained
Provide service leadership and maintain clear expectations for hospitality standards across all guest facing roles
Assisting GM with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training and development of employees
Oversee all aspects of service execution, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality while appropriately delegating responsibilities
Contribute to the creation and improvement of operational systems and ensure adoption through training and follow-up
Maintain active floor presence five shifts per week, engaging with guests and leading service recovery when needed
Ensure all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, professional, and attentive service at all times
Ensuring food and beverage standards met for timing, recipe and presentation
Drive performance in sales, service, cleanliness and appearance while fostering a positive, accountable, and productive work environment
Work with GM to actively manage labor and scheduling to align with volume
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Identify safety risks and initiate corrective action to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees along with restaurant maintenance

Required

Progressive service industry experience with increasing responsibility
Preferred AGM or GM experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant required
Experience administering restaurant technology systems, including POS (Aloha, Opentable), scheduling, and restaurant-specific applications
Proven leadership skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computers & email
Weekend availability is required; this role includes regular work on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
