Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of 8-10 senior engineers, delivering on the vision to search and analyze data wherever it resides
Develop well informed engineering plans to meet customer needs, supporting rapid iteration and phased delivery
Partner with product owners and other key collaborators to align on engineering plans, identify potential obstacles early, and mitigate risks
Develop team structure with clear responsibility and accountability for progress and meeting business objectives
Work across geographies to drive our global strategy to support our customers worldwide
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in leading and managing software engineering teams
In-depth knowledge and proven track record in large scale data processing technology, such as query optimization and execution, delivering valuable outcomes using data
Experience delivering and operating production-grade software in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
Experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Working experience in the large-scale data processing space (Spark, Trino, etc.)
Familiarity with the Data Catalog space (Glue, Iceberg, Unity Catalog, etc.)
