Responsibilities
Provide arriving members with a prompt, gracious greetings, and seat them comfortably with menus
Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
Works with management and team members to ensure top quality service delivery to Members and guests
Helps dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages
Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc
Places reservations
Ensures knowledge of menu and specials
Responds to member inquiries in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in the country club environment preferred
Food and Beverage Knowledge preferred
Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
Ability to articulate thoughts and actively listen in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, members and guests
Ability to use empathy to understand members, guests and coworkers' feelings or mood and responding in the appropriate tone and manner
Ability to demonstrate proactive hospitality by taking the initiative to approach members, guests and coworkers with a positive and upbeat attitude
Demonstrated track record of showing responsibility through taking ownership of issues and following through
This position includes (long periods of) balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in hot conditions for long periods of time
Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
