Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in alignment with GAAP
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements and internal control standards
Support external audits and regulatory reporting activities
Oversee general ledger integrity, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial results
Contribute to annual budget development and periodic forecasting cycles
Deliver variance analyses and financial insights to operational and executive leaders
Manage, coach, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Assign priorities, review deliverables, and provide ongoing performance feedback
Identify opportunities to optimize accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls
Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and ERP improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
Deep understanding of GAAP and healthcare financial regulations
Proficiency with ERP platforms (e.g., Lawson, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
Preferred
CPA certification is preferred
Experience in healthcare or health system environments is strongly preferred
