The role involves preparing engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, and designs for electrical substations under the supervision of senior engineers.

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of the Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s)
Prepare structural calculations, design sketches and redline drawings
Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements

Structural EngineeringSubstation DesignEIT/FE CertificationAutoCADRISAStaadSAPMicrosoft OfficeActive ParticipationTeam Collaboration

Required

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
EIT/FE certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT/FE certification, will have the title of 'Coordinator' and will be expected to obtain their EIT/FE certification for career progression
Preference given to local area candidates
Substation design experience highly preferred
Familiarity or willingness to learn Structural design software such as RISA, MFAD, L-Pile, or Equivalent
